Miao Indigo Cotton Fabric

Handmade by Miao artisan Yanmei in Taijiang, Guizhou. Dyed with indigo and traditionally finished with egg white, giving the textile its distinctive depth, texture and subtle sheen. Each piece carries the variations and irregularities of the hand-dyeing process.

Made slowly, by hand, using techniques passed down through generations.

Our silk is naturally anti-microbial and very durable: you can wear it many times before washing. But when it's time, hand wash with cold water and a mild soap. Hang to dry. Steam to remove any wrinkles. If ironing, iron on low heat.
