Description

This is a one of a kind, antique jacket made by an indigenous Chinese ethnic group ~ the Jinhou Miao ~ in Guizhou, China.

This jacket is around 100 years old. It was made entirely by hand in accordance with traditional Miao textile techniques, an intricate process that includes: growing and weaving cotton, dyeing it with indigo, and then meticulously hand embroidering Miao iconography.

Please note: because this is a vintage item there are variations in color, tone, signs of wear, and other minor discrepancies. This is what makes this piece precious.
