Description
This is a one of a kind, antique jacket made by an indigenous Chinese ethnic group ~ the Zhaoxing Dong people ~ in Guizhou, China.
This jacket is around 100 years old. It is perfectly broken in. It was made entirely by hand in accordance with traditional Dong textile techniques, an intricate process that includes: growing and weaving cotton, dyeing it with indigo, coating it with egg whites, and then beating it with mallets.
An exquisite emblem of cultural heritage.
Please note: because this is a vintage item there are variations in color, tone, signs of wear, and other minor discrepancies. This is what makes this piece precious.

Care
Our silk is naturally anti-microbial and very durable: you can wear it many times before washing. But when it's time, hand wash with cold water and a mild soap. Hang to dry. Steam to remove any wrinkles. If ironing, iron on low heat.
