Description

Handwoven in Indonesia from natural bamboo, this lightweight bag is a study in craft and culture. 

Beautiful as an object, this piece is designed primarily as a gift bag ~ a thoughtful vessel for Ziran gifts or other offerings. Because of its delicate, handmade nature, it isn’t meant for heavy use. 

An expression of nature, craft, and flow ~ perfect for elevating the act of giving.

  • 100% hand woven bamboo. Crafted using a traditional Indonesian bamboo weaving technique rooted in centuries of craftsmanship. Across the archipelago, artisans split, soften, and hand-strip bamboo into thin, flexible slats before weaving them into form using a diagonal anyaman (woven) pattern. Each strip interlocks to create structure with no stitching and minimal hardware.
  • Finished with two 100% Xiang Yun Sha Ziran silk ties. Please note: the ties are made from an assortment of Xiang Yun Sha silks, meaning your bag’s tie may differ in pattern from the sample pictured.
  • Measures 15" length x 10.25" height x 4" width, and can expand to about 6."

All discoloration, spots and idiosyncrasies are from the natural construction process and make each item unique.

Our silk is naturally anti-microbial and very durable: you can wear it many times before washing. But when it's time, hand wash with cold water and a mild soap. Hang to dry. Steam to remove any wrinkles. If ironing, iron on low heat.
