Azure + Jasmine Reversible Knot Bag

The knot bag originates in Japan and is a simple and chic open bag with asymmetrical handles. One of the handles slips through the other to form a "knot." These bags are surprisingly roomy and can fit all your night/day/vacation essentials. Our interpretation of this bag makes it reversible (!) and elevated in our special silk. 

Azure is a special textile made by an indigenous Chinese ethnic group ~ the Dong people ~ in Guizhou, China. The Dong grow and weave their own cotton, dye it with Indigo and a vegetable yam called Shu Liang, coat it in egg whites, and beat it with mallets. This is why this textile has a leather-like sheen, though it is 100% cotton. This is a very exclusive textile that is soft, durable, and will age beautifully. A triumphant emblem of cultural heritage. 

• 100% hand dyed xiang yun sha silk and 100% Dong cotton
• Reversible: one side is Azure and the other is Jasmine

All discoloration, spots and idiosyncrasies are from the natural dyeing process and make each item unique.
