Episode 2 ~ The Craft Keepers
Weaving the Ten Thousand Things: A Ziran Film Series
![]()
Craft does not survive through ideas alone. It lives through the people who carry it forward.
Episode Two of Weaving the Ten Thousand Things turns to the hands, rhythms, and labor required to keep Xiang Yun Sha silk alive. The craft is demanding: physical, repetitive, and slow. Knowledge is passed through observation and practice, learned through seasons of work under the sun.
Tradition is not preserved in theory. It is lived. Everyday.
Episode Two reveals the humanity of the craft - the people whose lives are intertwined with the silk.
This is how the weaving continues.
